MEET THE DOCTORS

Dr. Carlascio was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. He completed his Bachelor of Health Sciences at the Univerisity of Western Ontario (2009) and Doctor of Dental Surgery at Indiana Univerisity (2013). He was ultimately drawn back to his hometown and is the proud owner of Pim Street Dental.

With a strong passion for career growth and keeping up with the evolving field of dentistry, he ensures his patients have access to the best care through recent incorporation of intraoral cameras, intraoral scanner, and therapeutic botox into the practice. Dr. Carlascio enjoys prosthetic dentistry, including crowns and implant-supported restorations. However, he also values fundamental treatments like fillings, and especially enjoys working with pediatric patients. His treatment goal is always to offer the most transparent, predictable and long term solution.

Outside of the office, Dr. Carlascio is heavily involved in the community. He has been a long time member of the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie, and has previously served roles on community boards and with the Ontario Dental Association. Recently, he has received fellowship into the Pierre Fauchard Academy, which is an international honour dental organization recognizing leaders of the profession, which is extended to fewer than 1% of dentists internationally.

When not in the hot seat, Dr. Carlascio enjoys playing piano, golfing and spending time with his family and two beautiful daughters.

Dr. Yoon was born in South Korea, and his family moved to Canada when he was 2 years old. Since then, he has lived in almost every province growing up. He studied at the University of Waterloo where he graduated with a degree in Biomedical Sciences (2016). He then moved to Halifax to attend Dalhousie University to complete is Doctor of Dental Surgery (2021).

Always knowing he would eventually settle down in Ontario, joining Pim Street Dental in Sault Ste. Marie was the obvious choice especially after getting to know the wonderful team.

Although he very much enjoys all the aspects that being a general dentist offers, such as restorations, crowns, and root canals, Dr. Yoon thoroughly enjoys seeing pediatric patients. His easy going yet positive demeanour can be felt with each patient he treats. One of his main goals is to ensure that each dental visit is a positive experience. Further, it is very important to him to develop a successful lifelong doctor-patient relationship.

When not at the office, Dr. Yoon enjoys weightlifting at the gym, playing ultimate frisbee, walking his dog, and of course spending time with his lovely family.
